November 11 - International Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November to recall the end of First World War hostilities and to pay respects to the victims of the war. For the first time the victims of the First World War were commemorated in Smorgon District in 2013; Smorgon gymnasium joined the event in 2015. The Council of the gymnasium museum, students in Years 5-11, together with their teachers, are preparing for this event. Today, at exactly 11.00, everybody fell silent for a minute as a mark of respect to the victims who fell in the First World War, one of the most tragic wars on the planet.
