They glorified our land with their talent

The exposition “Our land was glorified with their talent” is a portrait gallery of our famous compatriots: poets and writers, musicians and composers, artists and sculptors. Most exhibits are gifts from outstanding people and their families.

Alexander Anisimovich Deryugo, an organizer and leader of Smorgon folk cymbalist orchestra (1948-1973) . Honored Worker of Culture of the BSSR (1960). Honorary Citizen of Smorgon.
Donated to the museum by T.E. Rogach, the deputy director of the Gymnasium,  on  September 27, 2003.

1st grade laureate diploma of the Decade of amateur performances of schoolchildren (KP 868).
On August 1, 1967, the I degree diploma of the Ministry of Education of the BSSR was awarded to the orchestra of cymbalists-schoolchildren in Smorgon (headed by A.A. Deryugo).

Membership card of the USSR Journalists’s Union (KP 153).

Membership card No. 11877, issued to Grigory Yefimovich Amromin (a local correspondent) in September 1958.

A standard 9 cm by 6 cm letterhead bound in burgundy leather. The text is in Russian and Belarusian; there is a photograph.

Donated to the museum by  T.K. Musskaya, a teacher of Secondary School # 4, on September 20, 1997.

Membership card of the USSR Writers' Union (KP 628).
Membership card No. 12082 of Maryan Nikolaevich Duxa, a Belarusian poet, a member of the USSR Writers' Union since January 31, 1969.
Standard letterhead, 10.5 x 7 cm, red leather bound. Texts in Russian and Belarusian; there is a photograph.
