One-minute silence November 11


Remembrance Day is a memorial day observed in a lot of states since the end of the World War I to honour armed forces members who died in the line of duty and the civil victims of the war. In most countries, Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November to recall the end of the First World War hostilities. The hostilities formally ended "at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month" of 1918.

Remembrance Day is a time when people can pay their respects to the substantial number of soldiers and civilians who died in battle. Some institutions observe one-minute silence at 11 am.

Traditionally, on this day our gymnasium students, teachers and school staff join the international action, they observe one-minute silence.

The action is carried out by the Council of the Gymnasium Museum and the headquarters of the club ‘Spadchyna’, students in grades 5-11 together with their teachers. Today, exactly at 11.00, our gymnasium froze for a minute of silence to honor the memory of those who died in one of the most tragic
